UyScan data and writing

UyScan editorial team

We write about the Tashkent apartment market using only data we collect and check ourselves.

Every day UyScan collects apartment sale listings in Tashkent from OLX and uybor, merges copies of the same apartment and removes junk such as a down payment shown as the price. District pages, search and blog articles are built from this data.

The articles are written by the project team. We are not an agency and do not sell apartments, so we have no reason to push you towards any purchase: our job is to show how prices work.

How we work

  • Numbers come only from data

Every number in an article is filled in from the same files as the district pages and updates with them. We do not type numbers by hand.

  • Asking prices, not deals

We see what sellers ask in listings. What buyers paid after bargaining is not in the listings, and we say so.

  • No invented stories

We do not write on behalf of buyers or publish reviews without their authors' consent. We do not advise what to buy.

  • Mistakes are fixed openly

If a number or a conclusion turns out to be wrong, we fix the text and change the article's update date.

Price or down payment: how to read apartment listings in Tashkent

Instead of the apartment price, a listing may show a first installment, a price per square meter or even a rental. Here is how UyScan spots them and why only 29,009 apartments remain of 49,762 listings.

If a number or a conclusion in an article is wrong, write to us via the Sources and removal page. We will fix the text and change the update date.
